This route is a mixture of towpaths, rough stuff single-track, and quiet roads. Once you get to Thatcham Railway Station, you can either go back by train, go back along the Keennet an Avon towpath (Sustrans Route 4 to Reading), or road route via Theale town centre, then through Tilehurst back to start point.

Toilet stops at start, Bradfield sports centre, Thatcham Station. There's a tea shop and pub along the towpath. Savacentre hypermarket / McDonalds.
