| 1. Circular up through Heighington which is the hardest climb of the route.
Care needed on short length of A68
Some nice downhills after that towards Piercebridge, Gentle climb after crossing River Tees, and some short climbs typical of the route through Alborough to Melsonby then nice downhill to go under Motorway.
Then North back to Darlington with some more nice downhills.
Couple of traffic free routes through Darlington, and traffic free cyclepath next to A167 from White Horse Pub back to Aycliffe.
