| 1. A fantastic route for anyone living in Glasgow who wants to see a wee bit of Scotland without straying too far.
There are some unforgiving uphill stretches on the A809 - be sure to take as many breaks as you need to help with these. Cars can be unforgiving.
Also, the weather can be unpredictable - when I did this route it went from sunny in Glasgow to foggy and much colder further north.
