| 1. This route is very lumpy route, climbing around 2800ft over the entire route, with the biggest climb (although you do not really notice that it is) at the very end.
Take the turn to Carse of Lecropt outside Bridge of Allan to avoid the motorway roundabout. When in Doune, cross the main bridge in town, and keep left on the road immediately after.
From here follow signs to Thronhill and then Kippen. Stop at the Woodhouse before Kippen for a glorious bowl of soup.
The climb into Kippen is a hard slog, so beware! From here, follow the road to Fintry, in which the road meets the Main Street, and turn left to Carron. |
