Cycle Steps
1. Head up the canals till you get to Diggle. Post Bike underneath railings at Standedge Rail Tunnel (disused since 1894). Ride 3 miles in darkness (really cool - explore if you dare). Post Bike back through railings at other end of tunnel. Ride over the tunnels on way back - it's about 2 miles of up hill (there's a pub half way). Ride down the other side (remember to use your brakes!!). Take the canals back to Manchester.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
There is a pub on the canal side called Roaches Lock (about half way to Diggle). At Ashton you are forced to leave the canal side at ASDA, but you rejoin on other side of road.
