Cycle Steps
1. It's a 30km ride, to be honest this was my first ride of the year and was a tough one owing mostly to my lack of fitness. A few more of these and I'll be fine though. I started at the bottom of Outlane, cycled up the A640 towards Rochdale. It crosses the M62 at the top of Outlane and then climbs and dips gradually upto Buckstones. This section takes about an hour, maybe less for the fitter of you. I left Buckstones and headed for the break away onto the Pennine way. That section is tougher in parts but a lot more fun than the boring road sections. There are two car parks, one either side of this section and some great views over into Lancashire. Once you're off the way, it's literally all down hill, head for Marsden and the canal tow path, and then hit every puddle along the way back to Milnsbridge. Loved it.
