| 1. Starting at Crawley Down and heading on the Worth Way Sustrans track to Forest Row and onto Royal Tunbridge Wells. On and off the beaten track and thru lanes and forests, passing through Sandhurst and onto the Battle of Hastings site. More lanes to Heathfield, Mayfield and Crowborough heading towards East Grinstead and back onto the Worth Way for Crawley Down. I picked heading back onto the track to avoid the Turners Hill Rd. as it's safer because of less traffic. This route avoids A roads, with only a little blip now and again which can't be avoided. Forest Row sports InGear Cycle Sport shop and there are plenty of cafes on route. |
