| 1. Starting at the carpark in west overton opposite "the sanctuary" on the A4 just past silbury hill. Ride up the ridgeway until you get to the finger post parked fyfeild down, turn right through the gate, follow this through 3 more gates turn left onto a field, follow the tree line and turn left through the stones down through rockley woods. Go thorugh the gate and turn right,follow the road onto Ogorne Maizey and get on to the cycle path, follow this until you get to the dog kennles, turn left here down a rocky byway, turn left onto the road, you will come to a right turn wich will take you up onto smeathes ridge (the ridgeway)ride up this to Barbury Castle (have a play here) then follow the ridgeway via Hackpen Hill back to your start point |
