Cycle Steps
1. From the South end of Cowdenbeath High Street turn right at the mini round about onto Broad Street and follow the road into Crossgates with a hill just before the Silver Birch pub. Keep following the B981 INTO crossgates then go through the lights and up to the left following the sign for Mossgreen. Again uphill through Mossgreen then at the top of the hill cross over the road or turn right into a small narrow farm road which had uphill and lots of downhill spots. You just really follow the road coming to quite a busy junction before Aberdour and go straight across when safe and mainly downhill. You come out at Aberdour train station and turn left. You can go along the road to Burntisland but we followed the green sign to Silversands and came out at the cafe then a gravel walking / cycle path into Burntisland. When we came off it we past a school and followed the road straight ahead, not a bisy road, just a street and came out at Burntisland train station then turned left onto the A909. This is tough! You do just follow the road into Cowdenbeath but it's all uphill. I'd only been here in a car so seemed easy and although I could manage my son struggled! Got to the level art and past Mosmorran and back into Cowdenbeath High STREET. A nice cycle but not for youngsters or inexperienced cyclists unless you don't mind getting off and pushing a bit!
