| 1. A route designed to avoid roads as much as possible, taking in a bit of the Sankey canal then riding along the Trans pennine way until you reach the Ferry Inn. The crossing of the M62 is through fields along a public footpath then a bike push over a footbridge. (lots of cyclists use this) or you could skirt around using clockface road. |
