| 1. Starting off from Eastbourne with a long climb to the south downs way, takng a left from the car park towards Jevington. Through jevington past the church and a steep muddy climb through the forest opens up on to the top of the Downs. The descent is a bit of a bones shaker . Easily descend in to Alfriston taking, plenty of places to eat or buy supplies here. Then its back up the south downs way, steep climb again although its more of a chalk and flint dridal path, not a mudy as Jevington. Then follow the the path along the top of this ridge till the down hill that curves round to the A26 (the south downs continue to brighton and this would be god for a fitter rider than my self. |
