Cycle Steps
1. This route around is in Ringland which is approximately 3 miles west of Taverham. It is a nice relaxing route that is ideal for a weekend potter on the bike. Due to it's short distance it is suited for families wanting to cycle.
2. Starting at the Church head east along the main street (Street road). Cycle along until you see the Post Office on your left. Turn left immediately after this.
3. Follow the track up and round to the left where it meets Back Lane. Turn right on to Back Lane.
4. Keey cycling until you see a farm house infront of you, foolow the path around to the left and keep cycling until you meet Ringland Lane.
5. Turn left on Ringland Lane. Keep cycling until you can see a side road left. At this point turn left and head onto the track heading south west.
6. When you exit the track turn right then immediate left after the houses. Cycle down into Weston Green.
7. When you arrive in Weston Green, turn left at the first T-Junction onto Breck Road. Cycle to the end of Breck Road and turn left on to The Broadway.
8. Keep cycling along this road, pass over a cross roads and keep going until you come to a T-Junction. Turn left on to Ringland road.
9. Cycle up through the forest and turn left on to Costessey Lane. Taking the 2nd left off Costessey Lane and you will be back in Ringland at the Swan Pub. Time for a well deserved lunch!
Landmarks/Sites to see?
15th Century Church of St Peters, Ringland Village Hall used to be a Methodist church is worth a look and of course the magnificent views of Wensum Vally from the route. After the cycle the Swan is worth a visit for some lunch!
