| 1. the route follows roads and a few sections of national 1, 2 &11 cycle routes. It goes from sea to sea, through Romney marsh, the kent weald, the Downs, Canterbury, Thames marshes and then back. A few short steep climbs on scarp slopes but mostly fairly undulating. The bits in the Downs can be a bit confusing, sign posts are useless. | |
| Landmarks/Sites to see? | |
| Canterbury Cathedral, Dungeness lighthouse and nuclear power station and many fine views - best one is view back to Romney marsh after the climb fromBradbourne Lees onto the Downs. Charing is a pretty village as is Pluckley, the route along the stour from Chartham to Canterbury is excellent. |
