1. A perfect route for someone who desires to see the lakes best back drops. this route incorporates 3 of the lake districts 5 mountain passes.
Kirkstone (the higehst) pass, honister pass (the steepest) and whinlatter pass (a beautiful woodland pass). This route goes via some of lake districts most favoured towns such as Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick and exceptional valleys such as Borrowdale and Buttermere.
This route was done in 11 hours which includes time for coffee, lunch, ale, Kendal mint cake stops and photo opportunities.
