1. A ride which is quite difficult for a thirty miler. Starts off in Godalming and a long trawl through relatively flat and downhill terrain leads you to Newlands Corner, a tough climb but with a very rewarding descent afterwards.
This is a beautiful place to stop and there's a café there to enjoy as well. Afterwards a quick run into Guildford is followed by another tricky ascent to the Hogs Back above Guildford. The route ends with a quick descent then climb to Prior's Field, and a final (and very enjoyable) downhill to Godalming.
A very beautiful and tricky thirty miles but a very fun ride through some of the most lovely scenery in the Surrey Hills. |
