Cycle Steps
1. This is a rough figure of eight road route, mainly on A roads, that makes an ideal training circuit. Starting in Walthamstow on Wood Street, B160, you head south past Wood Street Railway Station and down to the A104 junction. Turn left onto the the A104 and take the first turn off to the right into Snaresbrook Road. This will take you through the trees and out to the A11 junction. Turn left onto the A11 and follow this across the A406 and on till the A104 junction. Sweep round right onto the A104 and then take the first left into Chingford Lane, A1009. Follow this up past the golf course and round to the left. Continue to folow the A1009 until the A112 crossroads. Turn right onto the A112 and follow this to the junction where the A112 turns to the left. At this point turn off the A112 to the right, onto The Ridgeway. Take the next left onto the B169 and follow this to the A110 junction. Turn right onto the A110, then take the first left onto Station Road, A1069. Follow this past Chingford Railway Station, round to the right and out through the forest. Continue until the junction with the A104. Turn right onto the A104 and follow this all the way to the A11 turn off. This completes the top loop of the figure eight. Go left onto the A11 and take the first right into The Roses. Turn left and right out of this and onto Bunces Lane. Follow this to the A104 Junction and turn left. Follow the A104 across the A406 roundabout and take the first right onto the A503. Follow this to the Wood Street crossroads and turn left back to the start.
