Cycle Steps |
1. This is a mixed route, that is mainly country roads, but with a little bit of canal and cycle tracks thrown in. As a result a mountain or hybrid bike is best suited for this route.
The route takes in the West Midlands Golf Club, off-road elements down Kenilworth Greenway Cycle-route, Kenilworth Wood and Common and Abbey Fields Park, as well as Kenilworth and Balsall Common Town Centres.

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
You cycle past Kenilworth Castle. There is a entrance fee of £7.50, if you want to go in. You will pass general shops on route, including refreshments in Abbey Fields Park, and I would recommend 'The Boat' in Catherine De Barnes for a pint/meal, just off the canal on Hampton Lane. There is also a good Fish & Chip shop on Station Road, Balsall Common.
Please see my picasa page for pictures of Kenilworth Greenway.
