1. Follow the bridleway, opposite Windmill Road, that runs alongside Flitwick Wood. At the top turn right and drop down to the road. Turn left and follow the road through Steppingly. Take the road on the left of the French Horn pub, Rectory Road. Follow this to the T junction and turn right onto a byeway then swing round left onto the bridleway. At the farm gate turn left and follow the hedge. At the end of the hedge turn right. At the top of the hill turn left. Cross over the motorway and at the end of the wood turn right. At the end of the hedge turn left and follow the bribleway down to the road (note soft sand at the bottom of the hill). Cross the road and follow the bridleway going straight on through several gates, until you cross another road. Follow this bridleway until you drop into a stream. Turn right up the stream for about 100 metres and exit on the oposite bank. Follow the lane into Tingtith and turn left up past the Green Man pub and turn left again at the crossroads. At the T junction go left then right. Take the bridleway into the wood on the right. As you go through the gate the bribleway goes straight ahead, but there is a section of single track on the right that re-joins the bridleway part way through the wood. Cross over the motorway and continue through the wood to the road. Cross over the road (Take care of traffic from the right, its a blind bend). Take the bridleway up through the wood and across the field to the farm. Follow the farm access road down to Steppingly and follow the original route back to Flitwick.
