Cycle Steps
1. Starting in the Winnington area of Northwich, go past the former ICI chemical works and over the river Weaver swing bridge. Turn right and go up Soot Hill, past the Trent and Mersey canal and into the country lanes of Marbury and Antrobus. Continue on till the M56 roundabout at Stretton then turn left down the A49. Go through Acton Bridge and Weaverham to the Sandiway crossroads on the A556. Turn left onto Chester Road, A556, towards Northwich. You are on the home stretch, that takes you past Sandiway Golf Club and through the village of Hartford. Finally, turn left, before the railway bridge, back into Moss Road, B5374, and back to the start point.

No bike shops en route, but many public houses including, Spinner & Bergamot, Antrobus Arms, Chetwode Arms, Leigh Arms, The Riverside (nice to sit outside by the river), Hungry Horse, The Blue Cap, The Coachman, The Red Lion Hartford, The Green Bank Hotel and the Thatch Tavern.
