Cycle Steps
1. This is a half and half mixed route of country roads and off road on bridleways, etc. Going through the Peak District, it inevitably rises and falls, but is still suitable for beginner mountain bikers. From Whirlow Hall Farm, take Colt Lane to Ringinglow Road and turn right. Take the first left onto Common Lane and follow this round until the left turn into Ivy Cottage Lane. Follow this until you reach the bridleway on the left, which takes you past Forge Dam. Then uphill on the bridleway to the Clough Lane junction. Turn right onto Clough Lane and follow this, then Greenhouse Lane to the junction with Fulwood Lane. Turn right and head for Redmires Dams. At Brown Hills Lane, turn left and then right to the junction with Redmires Road. Turn left and follow this around the reservoir. Pick up the Long Causeway and follow this over the top, turning off left towards Outseats and taking another couple of left turns on unnamed lanes to Cam Height. You then follow Ringinglow Road and Colt Lane back to the start.
