Cycle Steps
1. The route begins with a steady uphill climb through Aspull and Haigh, before entering a fairly level section of tight, twisty corners. Then comes a steep downhill descent, followed by an immediate climb that has the legs burning. You then follow a narrow country lane onto the A6 which takes you up to the northern most point of the route. Here, a sharp left-hander enters you onto a long descent towards Red Rock. At the bottom of this descent you turn left again onto an agonisingly steep climb up towards Red Rock Lodge. After the subsequent windy section, you complete the loop and begin the descent to the finish. The route is actually best done anti-clockwise!
