Cycle Steps
1. Head from Stoke Newington down towards Old Street. Travel through the ditch and onto Commerical Street. Straight, straight, straight towards the glass towers, pass their shimmer and head for Blackwall Tunnel. No turning into tunnel, bikes not allowed, head right instead, the Woolwich Ferry a welcome break. Aboard the ferry have a drink and look up stream and back towards the City. Disembark in South London and be weary of the worst drivers in London. Head towards Greenwich and look for a hill climb to get you up to Greenwich Park. Look for the Blackheath Rugby Club sign and start to climb. Rest stop number two affords time to check your watch is aligned to GMT. Shoot down Shooters Hill and roll through Peckham and Camberwell. Head down the old Roman Road looking for the turning towards Tower Bridge. Watch the pedestrian stepping onto the road in Spitalfields. Turn right onto Shoreditch High Street and enjoy weaving in and out avoiding the latest pot holes TFL can't fill quickly enough. Over the Canal and back up into Stoke Newington. Onto Lordship Road.
