Now follow the country road into and through Arncliffe, taking the sharp left hand turn after the river. Follow this road through Malham, Scosthorp, Hetton and Thorpe back to the B6160. Turn right and retrace your route back to the turn off for Hartington. Turn left and take the bridge over the river to Harlington, giving an different route back. Follow this road through Appletreewick until the turn off for Strands Lane. Follow the road through Barden and take the left fork. At the crossroads, take the right turn, head across the river and back down to rejoin the B6160 once again. Follow the B6160 back towards Ilkley until the A59 turn off. Turn left along the A59 to the Beamsley turn off, giving a second detour on the way back.
