Cycle Steps
1. Start point about a mile from Farningham Road rail station in North Kent General description follows but the lanes give a number of choices as you go so take a good map A good ride through the undulating Kent countryside. 28 miles on this software but 32 miles on our bikes. Mainly on country lanes (be careful crossing the A20 after Horton Kirby and Offham, the A25 at Seal and seven mile lane before Offham which are busy roads) with an early medium climb past Woodlands golf course and with one particually hard hill out of Trottiscliffe up to Vigo Leaving Horton Kirby you head towards Farningham and after crossing the A20 climb up Knatts Valley to the Woodlands golf course. Right up the hill and left at the crossroads takes you up and down the north downs. Through Kemsing to Seal and out into the lanes south of the A25 you cycle through a number of villages and hamlets before coming out onto the green at Offham. From here head north and cross the A20 towards Trottscliffe and climb the North downs again up to Vigo. The hill starts gently but is about 1 in 6 at the top Carry on through Fairseat, skirt round Stanstead and through Ash and down to Fawkham green. You have a choice of two hills either side of the pub here and from the top a choice of a couple of lanes to freewheel down the last couple of miles.
