Cycle Steps
1. This is an off-road circular route that starts and ends in Brecon. It follows the Taff trail until the top of 7 mile bank, past the Tal-y-Bont resevoir. Then follows increasingly more and more difficult off-road paths, until you get to The Gap, the views are stunning from here. The don't be fooled by the prospect of a descent into Brecon after all that climbing, because the start of the descent follows and old track that resembles a disused riverbed when its not raining and a riverbed when it is, it is rideable but with care and good suspension. Eventually the surface improves for the final run into Brecon (really good chip shop on the outskirts of town) and back to the start point of the Taff Trail. Happy cycling. Despite what might sound like a negative summary I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. This route was added from a GPX file. Add your own here Add GPX Cycle Route
