| 1. You can start this route at any point along the Rochdale Canal. The route along the Canal is mostly flat with a few lock with steep banks to to climb more so towards Rochdale.
I left the Canal at Stakehill industrial estate and headed towards middlton down Rochdale Rd which is mostly downhill and a short rest break from having climbed the locks.
Head through Middleton and follow Manchester New Rd towards Heaton Park and carry on until the left down Blackley New Road through Blackley Village and onto Rochdale Rd and follow it up towards Victoria Ave. |
