Cycle Steps
1. This is a Sunday ride taking in the moor lands between Oldham Huddersfield and Rochdale. The route is mainly A roads and can be very hilly in parts. The route passes through oldham town centre on to the A62 Huddersfield Road/Manchester Road passing through Bleak Hey Nook, Marsden and Slaithwaite. Once you arrive in Huddersfield you travel clockwise around the ring road A62 and exit on the A640 Trintity street changing to New Hey Road. Continue up hill across 3 roundabouts until you reach Junction 23 M62. Take the second exit (New Hey Road/Huddersfield Road) you will cross Dowry Reservoir and New Years Bridge Reservoir and Denshaw Village. Continue ahead at the cross roads in the village up the Hill back towards New Hey. When you reach the end of the road you can turn left and follow the road back to Oldham or right via Milnrow and back to Middleton passing through castleton.
