Landmarks/Sites to see?
Generally quiet, through small villages. Borley famous for having most haunted rectory, which has burned down - see Sudbury is a charming market town spoiled by its one-way system. Hilly from Bures to Stratford St Mary. Dedham worth a stop and a cup of tea at the Essex Rose or the (cheaper) craft centre - it is where the artist John Constable went to school, see Manningtree and Mistley nice market towns with good restaurants. Mistley Walls is picturesque, and its Adams church is worth a passing look. Edwin Dunning, first flier to land on a moving ship, buried at Bradfield. Harwich old town (off-route, but if you have time to kill) is also worth a look.
