Cycle Steps
This route runs mainly along canals. Although the bulk of the route is flat, there are 2 - 3 VERY steep hills that will require you to dismount and push. A mountain bike is recommended for this ride as the gears will come in handy. BMX not recommended. The towpaths along the canal are mostly pretty wide, but in a few places it does get narrow for a couple of metres.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
On the way, at the end of the road "To Tunnel Top North", there is a pub called "The Tunnel Top". There are no more shops/pubs until the end, where you will find the "Leigh Arms" pub.

The canal section to Tunnel Top is lined with Hawthorn hedging so be prepared for punctures this time of year, I got 5!
A good alternative is to follow the Weaver under the viaduct and come up through Aston via the bridleway. Makes a good loop.
