| Simple, fast commuting route between Newent and Gloucester most of which is on small roads and marked cycle routes. There is a short section on the B4215 between Whitehall Lane and Highnam that can feel very unpleasant, especially if you are on your own, so good visibility is important. Actually the safety record is still good but local cyclists and groups are campaigning to have Sustrans Route 42 developed around Highnam to Rudford following the old railway line to Buttermilk Lane, Tibberton. | |
