This route is fairly flat all the way round. It takes in some big roads to start with, and there is plenty of traffic on these. After these, the remainder of the route is on very flat, quieter roads. This makes it good for a quick but long ride. In this route I have used roads to get to Tynemouth. There is also an alternative cycle path that runs from the Quayside all the way to Tynemouth, Hadrians Cycle Path, the C2C cycle way and route 72. |
