The route starts on the flat land to the east of the Wolds. The majority of the route is on quiet country lanes but these are linked by short spells on A roads. The first 12 miles are easy going and then you start to climb onto the egde of the Wolds. There are no steep inclines but some long steady climbs which are rewarded with some nice downhill stretches. At points along the way there are panoramic views that will take in the ships waiting in the Humber and the wind turbines off the coast of Skegness. Cadwell Park racetrack is on route along the Bluestone Heath Rd which offers more stunning views over the rolling hills. After crossing the main Louth to Lincoln road the route drops down off the wolds and takes country lanes into the north side of Louth Town. The final 3-4 miles takes you back to Legbourne by main Rd. |
