This is a route on quiet roads, with great scenery and some good climbs, Hirnant is short but steep.
Starting at Llanfyllin, head over Bwlch y Ddar to Llangedwyn. Turn left onto the B4396 and head through Penybont and Hirnat. Take a right at the B4393 and loop around Lake Vyrnwy. Finally follow the B4393 back to Llanfyllin.

...can recommend this route started at Llanrhaeder YM and went anti-clockwise...we all enjoyed the changing scenery if not all the climbs. Perhaps should note that the turning off to Llangedwyn in Llanfyllin is not signposted!
