Cycle Steps
This is a road route, mostly on country roads, but with small sections of A and B roads, that has some ups and downs.
Starting by the All Saints Church head up New Brook Street and across the river. Turn right after the Rugby club and follow this road up to Askwith. This is a fairly flat road to begin with, but ends with a incline. You then simply follow the road through Weston into Otley, which has a steady descent. Turn right near the town centre, into Billams Hill and join the B6451 as it goes over the river onto Bridge St. As you reach a crossroads, turn right onto the A659 and follow this to the roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout onto the A6038, Bradford Rd and follow this to the outskirts of Menston. Turn right onto Burley Rd, A65, and stay on this for about 1 km. Take two almost immediate left turns, the first onto Endor Crescent and the second onto Menston Old Lane. You then follow this along until a T junction, just after you cross the railway bridge, where you turn left onto Burley Lane. Follow this along until you reach a crossroads, where you turn off right onto Main St. You then follow this along for roughly 300m where you will come to a T junction, you then proceed to turn left onto Moor Lane. You then follow this bumpy lane, towards Ilkley, avoiding many roaming sheep for 6-7 km past the Cow and Calf, with fantastic opportunity for views and a visit to a well deserved pub.
When you reach Ilkley, you turn left onto Springs Lane, B6382, and then around 200m later right onto Brook St. You can then choose to let people cross at the zebra crossing or you can hurry past, until you reach the traffic lights at the A65 crossroads, opposite the All Saints Church.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Cow and Calf rocks and several pubs.

Very good road route, with two reasonable inclines and one fairly steep descent into Ilkley
