This route follows 'The Heron Trail'. We started off in the car park at Higham Station (no charge for parking). This is an enjoyable country route with only a couple of hills which defeated us and caused us to walk.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Passes Cooling Castle, the home of musician Jules Holland. Stopped for lunch in one of the pubs on Upper Upnor. Nice views across the Medway to Chatham Dockyard.
