| This is a road route, mainly on A roads, but with sections of B road and country lane, that starts of nice and flat cycling along the promenade through Morecambe, then gets more hilly as you go into the lake district. For a couple of sections I had to cycle on the A6, but there was a cycle path and the road is in good condition. There were no noticeable shops until you get to Kendal, but I stopped for a breaks in service stations. I was on a normal tourer bike with panniers, but most of the other cyclist I saw on the route were on racers. | |
