| This is a beautiful route through the Chilterns with two crossings of the Thames at Cookham and Henley. Set of from Great Missenden Station, heading through the village and take back roads through to Beaconfield. Then down to the river at Cookham, more back roads to Henley for a break at the many coffee shops. Then along the main road to Marlow back onto back roads (turn Left at the Ford Dealer) up hill to Lane End. Take the Sharp Left on the bend, for Wheelers End over the M40 and Down to Piddington. Along the A40 Turn Left and use back Roads to Princes Risborough. More Back Roads to Kimble then Butlers Cross Take Right for Missenden, Past Chequers and a flat run to Great Missenden. Trains every 30 Mins from Marylebone. | |
