Cycle Steps
On main road heading along the Estuary, then turning inland onto mostly rural roads, passing through plesant countryside and villages during middle part of route. Flat for first 8 miles then undulating with a long downhill finish.

Avoid cycling on 70mph bits of the A8 dual carridgeway by using Glasgow road between Newark castle and Woodhall rounabouts. Runs parallel about 50yds inland. After Woodhall you could use a path on the side of the West bound carridgeway all the way to Langbank

Started off my route today @ Moray Rd in Port Glasgow
Used the Glassgow Rd rather than using the dual carriage way. Some very nice climbs to get the legs going. Into the windy on the B road from Kilmacolm to Greenock, was planning to head to Greenock town centre then back to Port Glasgow but had to cut short as the heavens opened up. Will be doing this route again
