Althought he fist 11 or 12 miles are not massively exciting as you pass through Chertsey, Addlestone and on to Cobham after this the route becomes a lovely, picteresque ride along quite Surrey country lanes. Taking in a good sized climb on the road from east Clandon on the road to Shere before cutting across on a smooth forrets track to Newlands Corner where the Barn Cafe serves Tea/Coffee and cakes as well as other meals and treats. You then head dowards pass a golf course intowards Merrow and Burpham before heading across to mayford and then the nice little town of Chobham before returning via Lyne and Thorpe Green back to Egham.
