| 10 Mile Ride Start at the leisure centre and turn right down Chapel Street, then left onto Nelson Street to the end and left onto Market Street then right to Station Road and follow this up through Greystones Lane and out of Dalton. Pass Parkers pond on the right and turn 1st left and cycle till you get to a small hamlet called Mascalles, go straight ahead at the cross roads and follow the road to the end, turn left onto Horse Close Lane and then 1st left (Red Lane)and follow this road till the end and at the cross roads turn right and head towards Birkrigg Common. Turn right just after the cattle grid and over the next cattle grid to about half way down the hill and take the left turn follow this road around past Urswick Pond. Through the farm and turn right onto Urswick Road then a right at the junction and follow the road through Stainton, after you have cycled through Stainton there is a cross roads where you take a right and this takes you back into Dalton. |
