| Route folows the Jurrassic escarpment and is a mix of up and down cycling. The route climbs and descends various outliers from Desborough to Gretton. Not challenging but takes a lot out of you - a good warm up. Mostly on lanes, some sections of shared path and quiet B roads. Good views from the from the route and one particularly stiff climb at Uppingham Alternative route is to via Hallaton to Upplngham. Passes through some really "poverty stricken" villages! |
