| The route mainly sticks to country roads. A nice climb from Cockermouth up to Ireby is then rewarded with a lot more downhill than uphill all the way to Skinburness. A good flat section to Allonby, then a steady climb up to Tallentire. Cycled the route during the mid week and there was very little traffic. Pick a sunny day and the views of the Lakeland Fells, Dumfries & Galloway and West Cumbria are stunning! | |
