I have done a similar ride a few times. Very flat, and the roads are generally quiet. For something a bit more traffic free, maybe avoid the road through Histon/Impington (although it's not busy by any means) and take the cycle bath alongside the guided busway to Longstanton and then the road up through Willingham. And I much prefer turning left in Cottenham to go through Willingham to Earith, the road is much quieter and just as good in terms of its surface and width as the A road. The final stretch between Ramsey and Peterborough can be a bit windswept and dull. | ||
