Cycle Steps
I was looking for a 50 mile road route and came up with this, which I did in around 4 hours 35, with 2 x 10 minute stops. It's a nice enough route and is reasonably flat (take out the train bridges and a few small rises near Woodplumpton and it's a pancake).
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Garstang, Guys Thatched Hamlet, and Lytham Windmill amongst others. Even feel free to stop at the Taps should you feel the need.

Very flat, but enjoyable. The wind was blowing a far bit from the west, so the stretch from Garstang to Blackpool was like cycling up hill! Really good varied scenery with plenty of landmarks.

From Blackpool to garstang wasn't hard and it wasn't easy it took me and my dad about 2 hours and my dad had two punctures the front and the back wheel and walked all the way back from garstang to Blackpool.

Blimy that was tiring for me and him me, stopping and starting then him without stopping but over all it was a nice bike ride through the countryside except quite bumpy at times.
