This is a road route, mainly on country lanes, but with sections of A and B roads, that is predominantly downhill. The country lanes are very quiet and single lane in places, so there is very little chance of motorist encounters. Please note that if you do the return journey it will be predominantly uphill. |

I am new to biking, hence 7 I think! Nice route. Tiring when you reach Udny station, but don't stop! That's when the country road starts. Mainly flat and easy ride after. Saw a grouse and a rabbit! Nice to see the grouse rub in front and take off! Ellon seems a nice town. Worth biking on a Friday evening with friends, stoping overnight in a hostel with friends for a few drinks and biking back to Aberdeen on Saturday am! Well, when you enter Aberdeen , you might well have breakfast in McDonald's. (breakfast since 5am!!) | ||
