The c2c is quite hilly - so coast & castles may be better I had a go at the southern leg of coast & castles last year on a mtb but could have got way with a hybrid. Only did one day though(100 miles) - cannot comment on second leg. As routes go its flattish my version of the route :- http://ridewithgps.com/trips/2711840 few photo's http://www.everytrail.com/my_trips.php?user_id=158425 I did Birmingham to London on canal so Leeds to Liverpool will be the roughly the same - mixture of surfaces and if it has been raining it can get quite grueling through the mud & wet grass - the scenery on canals isn't the best either. for Leeds to Liverpool :- http://www.towpathtreks.co.uk/llc/canal_cycling_guide.html Depending how far you wish to travel -Scotland's great glen way :- http://www.tickettoridehighlands.co.uk/great-glen-way-cycle.php Look at these crazy people for inspiration http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04v5hhh/the-adventure-show-20142015-episode-5 |
