Hello everyone,

I am looking to fit road tires on my mountain bike since I mostly use it on the road. I was wondering whether road tires can directly go on my mountain bike wheels or if I would need to buy new wheels for it.

The bike is a carrera vulcan 20" frame and tire size 26*2.35 double walled wheels.

Also if I can get some information on the cost of tires and labour to fit them?

Regards

Osama.

Easy to buy and fit with just a cheap set of tyre levers.
There are loads of tyres out there ebay etc suggest Schwable puncture protection tyres
Good look

hi,

Will these go on my bike? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-PAIR-26-X1-95-Schwalbe-City-Jet-Cycle-Bike-Tyres-NEW-Puncture-Protection-Slick-/231355922913?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35dde339e1

And will i need new tubes or the ones already will fit under these? I have 2 tubes with size 700*23/25/28C Presta valve 48mm & 700*18/20/23c Presta 60mm valve.

I had bought the Two for my Specialized road/race bike, wondering if they can go on the mountain bike under the new tires in the link?

Thanks.

Herbie,

Thanks a lot for the links. I was mainly confused with whether a smaller width tire would fit my MTB or not.

Now I just have to decide if I want the wide slicks or the thin almost slicks with little tread.

Thanks again for the links.
