Hia,
I'm looking too but so far no luck. I enquired with a group a few years ago, told them about myself and turned up as arranged. I was shunned by some of the group and then left on my own in the middle of no where and had to flag a car down for directions home! Its now made me extremely cautious about groups but am willing to give it a try again. Good luck in finding a good group. Ali x

Hia ,
It was a few years ago and cant remember the group. I'd love to do a few rides anywhere but unfortunately I work every weekend and my days off are Thurs and Fri.I also work lates on a wed so thats out too. feel like I'm doomed with having a buddy to go with.I'm taking myself to Lythym by train on Thurs then riding back via the prom to Fleetwood, Garstang and home to Longridge. Dunno what to do on fri, haven't planned that far yet. May go look for a new bike, need a raod bike as the bike I'm using , and love is my mtb. Done some great long rides on that now want a lighter bike mainly due to knee injury. bye for now, off to work, Urgh !!

Hia , Again!
For the life of me I cant remember the group but i can recall meeting up at the college on St Vincents road. Off to look for another bike now, treating myself for once.

Ill happily "hook up" for weekly rides around lancs. Im 35, not overly fit, from blackpool. my normal routes are a 32 mile loop from lytham thru woodplumpton, cockerham (flat!!!) prom blackpool as long as its early morning, and around windermere (drive to). I recently joined up with a Preston group and it was ok just a bit hardcore for me too fast and felt a burden :-( probably need to start a New forum or thread for it but if anyone fancies a more leisurely "slog" of about 30 to 50 miles weekly or just less drop me a line :-)

Hi,
I've started a group called Numb bums for social cycling through the Sky ride website. You are very welcome to join us any time if you want. We are all abilities and can meet up more or less anywhere. Pop onto the site and have a look. Hope to see you see ! Alison

I have just read your request and suggest you contact your local CTC district association. If you go onto CTC.org.uk you can get a link to a local section in your area. the speed that most sections go is between 12mph and 18mph.A lot of districts have A,B, and C rides depending on the number of people out. I lead rides with the Merseyside section of the CTC which covers Liverpool, Wirral and St Helens. It all depends what type of cycling you want to do. If it road racing then go onto the British cycling web site and look for a affiliated club in your area.
