Newbury to Kimber, Winterbourne

Joined: 28 Apr 2009 Posts: 1 Bike: | I am considering taking a job which would require me getting from Newbury Rail Station to Kimber, Winterbourne every day. It is around 4 miles, and would mean going up towards Snelsmore Common and then a little bit west down a few country lanes to Kimber. I am a proficient town cyclist but I do not often go on long rides on major roads. Can anyone who has cycled the Newbury to Snelsmore Common route often tell me how busy a route it is, whether it would be a safe cycling route to do at peak times and so on. Thank you! |
