We still have to complete the full set up/organisation, but rough outline to complete the ride on or around the 21st June, start at 4:30am and finish before 10pm the same day. We haven't pick the direction yet, the prevailing wind is westerly so liverpool to Leeds makes the best sense , but we would leave it nearer the time to make a final choice There are currently three 50 years old guys from southport in so far,but reason for the message was to see if anyone else would be interested. We are reasonble fit and started canal terrain training ( necessary as road training will not prepare you for the towpath conditions) last weekend and plan to do at least 30-40 miles on the canal every week. One week we plan to ride from Burnley ( half way) to lverpool, approx 60 miles. This is a charity event so the plan is to finish and not set any records! This message is for people interested in joining, not to solicit donations. Target is to raise £4000 Leave a message if you are interested... We will be setting up a blog page which we will leave information on here when |
